Waterbury & Torrington

The Waterbury Sub Station of the University of Connecticut Police Department is located on the ground floor of the UConn Campus Building, situated on East Main Street in the center of the City of Waterbury. Police Officers are responsible for public safety in the main building as well as an attached parking facility. The Waterbury branch is the newest facility in the University of Connecticut system. In addition to normal police patrols there are emergency phones and remote cameras throughout the facility which assist police in providing a safe atmosphere within which students, staff, faculty and visitors may pursue their educational goals.

Police Officers from the Waterbury branch also staff a Sub Station which is located approximately fifteen miles away in the city of Torrington. Officers patrol the campus in marked police vehicles as well as on bikes and assist the public with vehicle unlocks and escorts.
